Updating wireless roaming
When a carrier setting update is available, you'll be prompted to install it.
If your carrier releases a mandatory update, you'll see an OK button instead of an Update button to let you know that the update was downloaded and installed.
If you insert a new SIM card into your i Phone or i Pad, you need to download the carrier settings for your new carrier.

A profile update synchronizes your phone with the network by updating its network access info.
If you’re ever having a problem with your phone that’s related to how it accesses the Ting network, updating your phone’s profile is the best place to start.
When you go to a roaming area, the Mi Fi checks the network identification numbers broadcasted by the nearby towers and references it against the PRL.
If the PRL is old, it may direct the Mi Fi to a different roaming partner than VZW is currently using.
The only solution is to manually program the phone if possible (data usage is not possible with activations via manual programming) or to obtain a new device.
The Mi Fi will always connect to the Verizon Wireless network if it is available, but will roam off of other carriers if necessary.
The power LED is built into the power button and located on the top of the Mi Fi device. The color of the power LED changes to reflect the battery state and roaming status.
Carrier settings updates can also add support for features like Vo LTE or Wi-Fi Calling.
